Oztag is not a traditional club-based sport. We operate as a social competition where players can either register a team with friends they’ve organised themselves or sign up individually and be placed into a team by our competition organisers.
You choose the night and venue that best suits you, and that is where you will play each week. As a social competition, there are no designated training days, teams simply turn up on competition night to play, have fun, and enjoy the game of Oztag.
COSTS
$125.00 per player U6s - U16’s for the season (this does not include any merchandise, transaction fees or processing fees, these are applied at the checkout).
$100.00 per player for Tiny Taggerz for the season (this does not include any merchandise, transaction fees or processing fees, these are applied at the checkout).
$15.00 annual membership fee per player, which goes directly to NSW Oztag.

When you arrive at your field, scan the QR code to sign on for the game (for insurance purposes).
If any injury occurs, it must be reported to the competition convenor (located in the main building near the toilets). An injury report form will be provided.
For any questions or concerns, please find a competition convenor to discuss them. Issues should be raised during the game — after the game is too late, so please report any concerns while the game is in progress.
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS
If you, or you and a friend, would like to play but don’t have enough players to form your own team, you can register as individual players. You can stay together, and you will be placed into a team by the competition organisers.
Individual Player Registrations work in two ways:
We allocate individual players to existing teams that have been created by others but may need one or two additional players.
We form full teams made up entirely of individual players. These teams often do not have a coach, so we ask parents to volunteer to assist as coach or manage the team.
How to Register an Individual Player
Click on the Individual Player Link at the bottom of this page.
Individual player registrations close on 16 August.
ACT Oztag will then begin working on team placements, which will be finalised by 13 September. This process applies to all competitions (we have 15 competitions to finalise, with approximately 50 teams made up of individual players).
Team placements are emailed to all families and also posted on the ACT Oztag website.
Individual players are invited to attend a one-hour session prior to the start of the season to learn the basic skills of Oztag. These dates are emailed out along with team placements.
Competition draws will be released by 1 October, with the season commencing after the October school holidays.
Once you have registered, what you need to do:

Team shirts, these will be confirmed once your child has been placed in a team. As the jersey design will depend on which team they have been placed into.
